Interesting Facts

With half of the 2008 season down, Newcastle flyer Ryan Brown has his sight's firmly set on his first New South Wales State Championship. 2006 Queensland State Champion Justin Keys made the trip south last round to mix things up a little and to get his eye in for the Nationals in November. Keysie rolled out a 1:17.6985 which was good enough for pole position ahead of points leader Ryan Brown.

Ryan bounced back in the Trophy race to 'Get one back for New South Wales' leading Justin to the finish ahead of John McKenzie in the Commodore in 3rd and the Under 2 litre terrors of Bob Jowett and Jacky Yick finishing in 4th and 5th respectively.

The Under 2 Litre points chase is a lot closer than the Over's guys with the Pro Concepts Honda Civic of Jacky Yick's leading with 383 just ahead of the Advanced Air Compressors/Yager Performance Ford Escort of Bobby Jowett. Jacky and Bob have been the class of the Unders field this season and have even given the top Over 2 litre guys a hurry up in the combined races. None-the-less, Round 4 at Oran Park will be action packed. See you there....
